Privacy Policy

The short version: this website uses no cookies and no advertising trackers. We count visits, downloads and clicks anonymously, and we use your email address only if you write to us or choose to subscribe.

Who we are

Charlie Clover is an independent children’s book publisher run by Marcin Domagała, based in Poland (European Union), who is the “controller” of the personal data described below under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The best way to reach us about anything in this policy is hello@charlie-clover.com.

Visiting this website

Anonymous counts. To see which pages and links are useful, our own small script records: the date and time, the page visited or the link clicked (for example, a link to a book on Amazon or the free PDF), the website or campaign that brought you here (for example, “pinterest”), and whether the request looks like an automated bot. We do not record your IP address, set cookies, use local storage, or build any profile of you. We cannot identify you from these counts.

Server logs. Our hosting provider, OVHcloud (OVH SAS, servers in France), automatically keeps technical server logs, which include IP addresses, to run and secure the service. OVHcloud processes this data on our behalf under a data processing agreement. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Fonts and images are served from our own server. We do not load Google Fonts, social media widgets, or advertising pixels.

Links to Amazon

Our books are sold on Amazon. When you click a book link, you go through a short redirect on our site (for the anonymous count above) and then to Amazon. From that moment Amazon’s own privacy notice applies. We may use Amazon’s measurement tags to see how many visits from our site lead to book sales; we receive only totals, never information about you.

When you email us

If you write to hello@charlie-clover.com, we use your email address, name and message only to reply and to handle your request (for example, a question about ordering books for a class). Our email service is provided by OVHcloud. We keep the correspondence as long as needed to deal with it and to keep a reasonable record, then delete it. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering you, or steps you ask us to take before an order (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).

Emails we send to churches and schools

We may write once to a church, school, or ministry to offer our free teaching resources, using a work email address that the organization publishes on its own website. We keep only the organization’s name, its published contact details and our correspondence. Every such email says who we are and how to opt out; reply “unsubscribe” and we will not contact you again. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in letting ministries know about free resources (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). You may object at any time.

Our newsletter (optional)

The free activity pack never requires an email address. If you choose to subscribe, we use your email address only to send occasional news about free printables and books, based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Our newsletter service, Kit (Kit, Inc., USA), stores your address on our behalf; transfers to the USA rely on safeguards required by the GDPR, such as the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw your consent at any time.

Children

This website is meant for parents, grandparents and teachers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and the activity pack can be downloaded without giving any personal information. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please email us and we will delete it.

Your rights

You have the right to access your personal data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect what we did before you withdrew it). To use these rights, email hello@charlie-clover.com. You may also complain to a data protection authority, in Poland the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO, uodo.gov.pl), or the authority where you live.

We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent or share your personal information for advertising.

Changes

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
